Each 2019 1/4 oz British Gold Queens Beast Falcon of the Plantagenets coin in this listing represents the first coin issued in the series in 2019 and the sixth coin overall. Each coin is in Brilliant Uncirculated condition and is available individually, or within tubes of 25 coins and Monster Boxes of 500 coins. The Monster Box contains a total of 20 tubes of 25 coins.

The Falcon of the Plantagenets comes to the royal arms and Queen Elizabeth II from King Edward III. The king had a deep love of hawking and falconry, and he choose the white falcon as part of his official emblem. The falcon was also used by other members of the Houses of York and Lancaster later one.

On the obverse of 2019 1/4 oz British Gold Queens Beast Falcon of the Plantagenets Coin is the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. This latest-generation design of Her Majesty comes from Jody Clark and was created for British coinage in 2015. It captures the Queen in right-profile relief at the age of 89.

The reverse side of British Gold Queens Beast Falcon Coins includes the image of the white falcon and shield of Edward III. Other kings to use the white falcon symbol include King Edward IV, the great-great-grandson of Edward III. Later kings such as King Henry VII, whose marriage to Elizabeth of York merged the Houses of York and Lancaster, used the falcon symbol and it was a favorite of Queen Elizabeth I.

The $10 Liberty Gold Eagle Coin was designed by artist, Christian Gobrecht. The obverse of the coin features his neoclassical rendition of the traditional Lady Liberty portrait. In this Greco-Roman inspired image, Lady Liberty appears in profile with her thick curls elegantly arranged beneath an inscribed crown. Framing her beautiful portrait is a border of thirteen stars to symbolize the original thirteen colonies. They are accompanied by the coin’s mintage year, which is engraved directly beneath the portrait.

Proudly embossed unto the reverse side of the coin is Gobrecht interpretation of the Heraldic Eagle, which features the national bird, armed with a shield, an olive branch and a set of arrows. The coin’s denomination and year of mintage have been engraved along the outer edge of the coin for reference.

President Franklin D. Roosevelt ordered the collection and melting of all gold coins in circulation starting in 1933. The effort was designed to bolster American reserves in the face of the economic turmoil of the Great Depression. Surviving coins, like these Pre-1933 $2.50 Liberty Gold Quarter Eagles, are extremely rare and limited in supply.

The coins in this product listing were struck between 1840 and 1907. At this time, the United States Mint attempted to maintain consistent designs in all of its gold coins. The Lady Liberty and bald eagle designs on this coin were similar to these and 1839 half-eagles.

On the reverse side of each coin is Lady Liberty's left-profile portrait. She is shown with her hair back in a bun and a crown atop her head. The word Liberty is engraved in the crown, with 13 stars around her bust to represent Americas founding colonies.

The obverse features the original heraldic eagle. With a shield on its chest, the eagle holds arrows and an olive branch in its talons. United States of America is engraved around it, with the face value inscribed below as 2 D. Christian Gobrect designed the images on each side of the coin.

The United States Mint produced these coins at its Philadelphia, New Orleans, San Francisco, Charlotte, and Dahlonega Mints. These coins are available in brilliant uncirculated condition, with no trace of wear. There is a possibility the coins will show contact marks, spotted surfaces, or breaks in luster.
